Formatting Messages

Dear Computer Lady,
When I am composing an email message in Windows Mail, I can’t change the font size or color. The bar across the top with those options is gone.

Dear Jane,
It sounds like the formatting toolbar has been turned off. Here is how you can fix that.
1. Open Windows Mail.
2. Click on the button in the command bar that says, “Create Mail”.
3. In the window for your new mail message, click on “View” in the menu bar and point to “Toolbars”.
4. In the submenu under toolbars, click on “Formatting Bar” to display the toolbar.
Now, you can create your email message and send it.
