Mindful Birthday Tip

I have a great little tip this week for those of you who are using the birthday reminder program that I use called, Mindful.

When you put in a birthday or anniversary, if you put the year of birth (or marriage) in brackets, Mindful will automatically calculate the number of years for you.

Let me show you how…

1. Open Mindful, and on the “Events” tab, click the blue plus sign to add an event.

2. In the, New Event Details dialog box, type the name of the person, followed by the year they were born in brackets followed by the event. If I was putting in my birthday, it would look like this:

Elizabeth Boston’s [1962] Birthday

3. Click “Next” and fill in each dialog box until you reach the end of the wizard and click “Finish”. Your birthday will now be displayed in the Mindful window like this:

This is only an example, my birthday is not really in April, I just wanted you to see how you can use Mindful to automatically calculate the age or number of years for you.

You can learn more about Mindful, and purchase it by clicking here.

    Dear Computer Lady,

I appreciate your site and I’ve learned a lot.

My problem is I have a 16″ emachine E18THV flat monitor and I use Windows XP. I have 2″ of space on both sides of the monitor with nothing on the monitor. Is there a way to fill the entire monitor?
